There is a love that few know as thoroughly or as completely as the Giver, because the Giver freely imparts this love from the depths Of His being.
While man reckons time simply by the movement of planets around stars, the timing and expression of this love knows no fixed orbits, no gravitational restraints, no visual or audible bounds or barriers, no thermal or chemical limitation.
This love means more than "I will follow you, I will serve you, I will be faithful to you." This mostly unfamiliar love is divine in nature, celestial in goodness, and infinite in power. The more we attempt to comprehend the scope, depth, breadth, and width of this love the more we begin to recognize how mortally incomprehensible and mostly mysterious this love is because of its universal size yet individualized depth.
There are blessings innumerable when this love is received. One simply needs to open their heart and mind as easily as access is given to a welcome confidant, a supporter, a benefactor, a defender, and a beloved friend.
There is only One who truly knows and understands us enough to be able to give this love. He knows us to depths unexplainable to others, perhaps even to us. He knows our desires and delights, He knows our sadness and our sickness. He knows of our all-consuming self-absorption that in ignorance and foolishness sometimes resists this love.
Regardless of us, He loves us anyway.
He knows our feeble attempts to emulate the giving of this love despite our best but frail efforts at its replication.
This is the love that was shown when He suffered for all of humanity. He died, yet as importantly, rose again the third day.
He who completely knows and gives this love, He is our Savior, our Redeemer, and our Advocate with the Father.
To this end He was born.
To this end He lives.
To this end, He loves.by Greg Mortimer
