Letter to Jesus
Dear Jesus ~ There is a still silence in my heart, as you dwell within. You have given my soul, an over-whelming peace. Jesus, as I recall your glorious birth, in a lowly stable... your mother wrapped you in swaddling clothes and laid you in a manger. Some called you The Prince of Peace. You were a beautiful baby.
I am lost in my thoughts, little Lord, Jesus... My eyes are closed and I am adoring You, Baby Jesus. You are just a baby, and yet, you speak to my heart in a most wondrous way, filling it with your Light and Love. And now, as a child, you have grown, in size and in brilliance. You have become strong in spirit, filled with wisdom and the grace of God is upon you. Your Word has walked me through the ages, to where you walked among men and performed many miracles. So many became believers!
There is silence and sadness in my heart as I recall how the chief priests and rulers delivered you, to be condemned to death. They had you crucified. They killed you, Prince of Peace, and my heart is grieving, at the thought. Little did they know, you would rise from the dead, and you appeared to many, including ten of the apostles. Standing in the midst of them, you said 'Peace be unto you.' You conversed with them awhile, opening up their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, "And said unto them, Thus it is written and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things." Luke 24:46-48
I recall reading in your Word, how you blessed them, Jesus, before you were carried up to heaven. They worshipped you and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. Sweet Jesus, Prince of Peace, you dwell within the hearts of all believers, and give to us, the gifts of eternal peace and everlasting life. Jesus, I thank you, for your Word, which shares the miracle of your birth and your death and I thank you for the gift of eternal life.
(See John 3:16) With humble repentance and Love ~
