The Breaking Point
It is often when we are at our lowest point Of frustration, of utter desperation, That the Light shines the brightest into our lives. The Light was always there, But our backs were turned away from it. It may seem every door is closed, Not a friendly smile or helping hand can be found. Not one understanding voice of kindness comes Forth to comfort us. When this happens, as it will to everyone, It is the most intense flame of the refiners fire We are experiencing. God perfects what concerns It And not one dark spot can remain In the vessel of the soul. When we are ready, It is we ourselves, who turn up the heat To expose and release the final impediments To our enlightenment, to our awakening to Truth. And what we see is that nothing Real can be Threatened, And nothing un-Real exists. What we have clung to and held as sacred To our existence, No matter how beautiful it may have appeared, Was no more than smoke and mirrors. We find ourselves naked, alone and yet One With All that Is - Love. And we know, finally we know, Thank God, We are Free at last! Author Unknown
