I have something to tell you and my friend it is true,
If you fail today God will still love you.
God's love doesn't depend on how well we behave,
Or how hard working we are or how much we save.
God loves us my friend because it's His nature you see,
His love is constant and always is free.
It's not what we do and not what we know,
It's because He is God that He loves us so.
So don't be uneasy and don't fret and fume,
If you don't get it just right it won't be your doom.
Just try to obey and follow God's leading,
And trust Him to supply the things you are needing.
I don't mean it'll be easy or that you're bound to get rich,
You may even slip and fall in a ditch.
But whatever comes I want you to know,
You are God's child and He loves you so.
