A Child of God
I am but a child of God,
I can do nothing on my own.
He is so faithful,
To never leave me alone.
From the day I am born,
Til the day that I die.
God is there with me,
And on Him I can rely.
I am but a child of God,
But His love for me is so pure.
He is the foundation on
which to build,
Of this, I am so sure.
When I find myself alone,
And in the sinking sand.
He reaches down from Heaven,
To extend His mighty hand.
I am but a child of God,
No matter how far I stray.
His love for me,
Will always show me the way.
I'm so proud to be a child of God,
That I'm will to give Him my all.
So I sit with anticipation,
Waiting, listening for His call.
